How does the Quebec skateboarding elite celebrate the national holiday? By going head to head against each other in a game of S.K.A.T.E. It was on the evening of St-Jean-Baptiste, in the schoolyard facing the entrance of Salon Officiel, that a pretty long game of skate took place.
It stared in the evening around 8 pm and continued into the night, under the dim streetlights and the headlights of a car. After interminable contests between such names as Ti-Pat Tremblay against Antoine Asselin, J-S Lapierre vs his roommate ( Jpsh Clark ), it is a wonder how many tricks could these skater land trying to eliminate one another.
In the end, J-S Lapierre skated away with the 300$ Red Bull prize, by eliminating Antoine Asselin with a big spin flip revert after a 4-4 round.
The night ended with the presentation of the new ULC line and the showing of the 5th episode of Globe's movie 'United by fate', featuring our Western Canadian friend: Ryan Decenzo.
